YOU’RE NOT BLIND ENOUGH: Ignorance, Discrimination, and Hostility Towards the Visually Impaired
I am seeking responses to some social issues visually impaired people face.
I am gathering data on how some blind people have experienced discrimination in public because of their vision. I have met a number of people who have endured “You’re not really blind. You’re faking it!” and similar sentiments from strangers. Some have been hostile and some have been genuinely curious.
If you would like to take part in this study please download the questions and email your responses when you are done. There are a number of questions I ask in this survey. If you feel uncomfortable, do not have an answer, or become overwhelmed by the amount of questions I ask I certainly understand. Please answer what you can or want and send it back to me. Any information is appreciated.
I will accept responses in any format that is more comfortable to you. Word doc, PDF, Rich Text, mp3. I will gladly arrange a phone call or Skype meeting if you prefer.
Thank you for participating and helping me get down to the bottom of this weird phenomena!
